![]() These cliches and cheesiness was what I enjoyed about this story idea as it really does in my opinion accurately showcase how most movies are today. Also this story follows quite the usual tropes that ‘what if your first plan goes wrong?’ as we see Douglas dying and not able to buy them time to both get in and get out. Ive also loved that idea of the hard drive still blinking as it really shows how some stories today are just severely armoured, meaning that theres so many un-logical reasons why characters can’t progress within given situations. The dialogue I’ve included where Scar and Nick were discussing why the blinking hard drive was still working, with Nick replying that it was because ‘it was a movie’ was very vital to me as it was a hint that maybe this sequence wasn’t real. In addition I felt like it had to be a story like this as I really needed to make sure Sci-fi was ticked as well. So basically, I was hoping that the intense sequence at the beginning should encompass at least a bit of every genre. They look at each other, lost and disoriented, then back at the screen and realise that the characters no longer looked like them as its portrayed by different actors as they were only imagining themselves into the movie. However this death won’t be seen as it would cut there as it then transitions to the theatre with Nick and Scar sitting at the theatre seats watching the exact movie. And in this final shot of Nick and Scar in tears, we see both of them smashing the hard drive to pieces in a tearful slow motion as we see the guards in the back slowly making their way to them, to kill them. Hiding around the corner, the door to the room busts open with patrol swarming in. So they begin to formulate and find a brick in the room and they hid in the corner of the room itself. So she decides that if one person is gonna die, both of them should do it together. Stating that when he dies, theres nothing else important for her out there in the real world. So Nick decides to sacrifice himself to buy Scar more time to escape with the hard drive, but would however in turn sacrifice himself, consequently dying.Īfter a long dramatic pause and recollection between both characters, Scar grabbed him and won’t let him kill himself for her. They freeze as they are now lost of what to do to escape. So while the begin to make their escape back into the main room to meet with Douglas, but now however stops to the scream coming from Douglas from the outside before they opened the door. Nick: *panicking and tense* “BECAUSE ITS A MOVIE!” Scar: *panicking and tense* “alright, we unplugged it, so uh, WHY THE HELL IS THAT THING STILL WORKING AND BLINKING?!” So Nick under pressure to the stress of the situation just pulls it out of the console, but it just keeps blinking. Nick and Scar begin to try and find the hard drive which is a blinking box. However, Douglas needed to stay to make sure to buy the other 2 some more time to get the hard drive and get out of there. Evidently they distract them bit by bit before they close get in and close the door onto them. ![]() They make it into the main centre of the facility where they see guards. So a group of 3 people do a break in, Nick, Scar and Douglas, hiding behind walls and pillars to make sure they aren’t seen, etc, the general go to spy scenario. It basically opens with an intense break in sequence where they needed to go into the control room to steal a hard drive containing codes that would be able to hack and control the radiation from electronics world wide to evidently slowly kill everyone off through mass genocide. ! THIS IS JUST THE GENERAL DUMBED DOWN EXPLANATION ! Nick being male and Scar being female in which they share a budding relationship with. So basically we will follow two main characters in which I will name Nick and Scar for the sake of this explanation.
